After two years of helping my parents with their foster kids and debating on fostering myself, I’ve decided to take the plunge. I’ve talked with one of the case workers I know and had an unofficial tour of my home (because it’s small and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t to small), the next classes for certification are in the spring and I will be attending them.
I’m a little nervous, but also really excited. I’m opting to take infants to 5 and temporary emergency placements.
